For a few months now I haven’t had much going on travel-wise. We can blame that on running out of money and graduating from university – and the exhaustion of trying to find a job that comes with it, of course.
BUT… there are plans coming together that I’m very excited to do and write about! Chronologically:
Thanksgiving
I’m British, so Thanksgiving is not a thing. Not even a little bit. That’s why I’m intrigued, excited, and a little scared to go to the USA (my third trip here in the past year and a bit) to spent it with my American boyfriend and his family. Currently the thought of early turkey is what’s got me in a spin, but I’m thrilled to be in the midst of a completely foreign tradition.
Cape Cod
This is a place I’ve heard many beautiful things about. The rugged coastline, the quaint towns, whale watching… and luckily, only about a 2 or 3 hour drive from Boston, where I’ll be based. So me and previously mentioned American boyfriend (Alan) decided to have something along the lines of a romantic getaway… to Provincetown. It may not be the typical couple retreat given that its known as the lively gay hub of Cape Cod (we don’t think this is anything close to a problem – only more fun, if anything!) and our hotel is right on the water. :)
London
Now, I know what you’re thinking – I live in London. But the American boyfriend is coming over to London in December over Christmas, and this means I’ll be trying to impress him more than I did last time with London. That means all of you, too.
All in all, pretty exciting stuff. I’ll be happy to have that view of flying into Boston again and I thoroughly enjoy being on the road with Alan. Stay tuned over the next couple of months – here, and on my Twitter and Instagram too. It’s going to be a fun one :)
Your upcoming trips sound brilliant. I can’t wait to hear all about an American thanksgiving especially!
Thank you – I can’t wait to experience it! :)
