I never quite got around to writing about my visit to New York City back in October. Having essentially 24 hours in the Big Apple and rushing around to spend time with three different friends, not a lot of it actually felt relevant to convey in a blog post. It would be a bit “And then I did this, then that, then I went here..” – which, let’s face it, is pretty boring.
But I still want to share it. It was absolutely amazing to see one of my best friends from university (who was there to visit family) so soon after I had moved to Canada; it was great to meet up with a girl I met when I had travelled in Central America that summer; and it was satisfying to stay at a friend and colleague’s apartment and talk about our respective moves to North America.
What I remember fondly is also the lovely, freak weather that October day. It was like summer again, incredibly blue and beautiful – perfect for exploring New York.
That’s also when I realised how long it’s been since I’ve done one of my In Pictures posts – something I want to bring back regularly. What better than to start again with In Pictures: New York City?
